I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
